We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook at Turtle Jacks Mapleview to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the kitchen and food industry, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality meal preparation and food safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our restaurant's success by helping to create delicious dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards for presentation and taste.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling techniques to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
Assist with inventory management, including tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
Participate in daily prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and assembling ingredients for dishes.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within a restaurant setting.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
