We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly and maintaining the store. This position is perfect for individuals who want set hours each week.

Responsibilities



Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as directed by kitchen manager. Support manager with various tasks, including cooking, serving customers, cleaning, and opening and closing duties. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored correctly. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of low supplies. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and assisting during service hours.

Skills



Comfortable cooking and serving customers. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently alone while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils is a plus, along with any prior kitchen experience. Self starter.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
