Key Responsibilities:





Designs, creates, and layouts digital and print assets and collateral for a wide range of College departments. Edits and updates existing designs to align with new information and requirements. Executes appropriate use of the George Brown College visual identity and brand guidelines to maintain its integrity across online and offline materials. Ensures designs and materials created comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requirements and compliance with college and brand guidelines and design standards. Other related duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:





Three-year diploma/degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or equivalent. Minimum two (2) years of experience working in Visual Design, Digital Media, and/or Digital Arts or equivalent. Professional R.G.D. accreditation considered an asset. Solid knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite and web software. Experience with motion graphics software desirable.

Skills and Attributes:





Excellent typographical and layout skills across a range of digital and print media and software. Ability to visualize and implement concepts. Proficiency in graphic design theory and principles. Awareness of latest digital and design trends. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines and work well within a team environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills at a professional level. Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College's priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.

The College requires proof of degrees, credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post-secondary institutions and/or their international equivalents. Credentials may require validation at the time of interviews or offer. Priority will be given to internal candidates per our Part-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
