Job Description

The Certified Orthotist evaluates patients with muscle/bone impairment, disease, or deformity, then designs and coordinates all aspects of the orthotic treatment devices prescribed. The goals of the orthotic devices are to provide optimal care and independence, restore mobility and/or to prevent or limit disability. Certified Orthotists collaborate with various medical professionals, including physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' needs and develop treatment plans for orthopedic devices
- Take measurements and create molds for custom orthotic & prosthetics
- Fit and adjust devices to ensure proper alignment and function
- Provide education& training to patients on how to use and care for their devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in prosthetic technology and techniques

Experience:
- Minimum of [1] year of experience as an Certified Orthotist
- Proficient in medical terminology and knowledge of human anatomy
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
