Job Overview

DME Driving School is seeking a

qualified and experienced Driving Instructor

to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for teaching and guiding students through both the

classroom and behind-the-wheel

components of our driver training program.

You'll play an essential role in helping students build confidence, understand traffic laws, and develop safe driving habits that prepare them for success on their road tests -- and for life as responsible drivers.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

one-on-one in-car instruction

to students of varying skill levels Teach students to operate vehicles safely and confidently in different driving conditions Demonstrate and explain proper driving techniques and maneuvers Deliver

classroom or online theory sessions

focused on traffic laws, road safety, and driver awareness Assess student progress, offer constructive feedback, and customize lessons to their needs Administer practice exams and ensure students are fully prepared for their license tests Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a

clean driving record

Previous experience as a

Driving Instructor

or in a related teaching role preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient, professional, and calm demeanor when working with new drivers Strong understanding of

traffic laws, defensive driving techniques,

and safety best practices Ability to adjust teaching style to accommodate different learning needs High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in

driver education

is an asset
