Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
