We're seeking an energetic and creative individual to join our team as a
Park Programs and Outreach Coordinator
for an 8-week summer position. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, tourism promotion, and environmental education -- all while working in the stunning outdoor settings of
Charlie Lake and Beatton Provincial Parks
and
Fort St. John, BC
.
Key Responsibilities:
Build relationships with tourism centres, outdoor businesses, schools, and community organizations.
Promote park programs and events through various media, including our website and social channels.
Help design and deliver park interpretation programs and special events.
Assist in the creation of park handouts and educational materials.
Support environmental awareness through public outreach and programs.
Highlight and promote local tourism attractions to park visitors.
Contribute to park operations related to public programming as needed.
Qualifications:
? Communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
? Interest in in hospitality, or outdoor recreation is highly desirable.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a outdoor environment.
? Capable of working hands-on with computer applications to manage records and reporting.
? Enthusiasm for nature and outdoor activities; knowledge of local flora, fauna, and trails is a plus.
? Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
