We work to support the development of competitive, sustainable, and profitable agriculture and agri-business industries that contribute to the economic, environmental, and social prosperity of Nova Scotia.About Our OpportunityAs a Promotional and Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase awareness of the Nova Scotia Crown Lending Agencies and its initiatives. You will work closely with the management team to execute promotional campaigns and engage with our target audience through various channels. Your role will involve coordinating events, managing social media platforms, and fostering partnerships to enhance our outreach efforts.Primary Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute promotional events to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Development/design and purchase of materials, including digital and print advertisements, brochures, and promotional items.
  • Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement. Plan and execute events, including workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with industry organizations, key influencers and stakeholders, and communities currently under-represented in the agriculture, fishing, and forestry sectors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in promotional and outreach strategies
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you have a Bachelors\' degree in a related field with 5 years related experience. An acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered.You will also need:
  • Proven experience in promotional activities, or outreach coordination.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign and website editing software
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools and metrics tracking is a plus.
