OVERVIEW:

Appara is an integrated legal services application that saves legal teams time and delivers enhanced productivity. Unlike other applications, we focus on the core of what a lawyer does - transactions. Appara is built on the back of our proprietary automation engine and intelligent analyzer; and leverages strategic integrations with industry leaders (Office 365, Quickbooks, DocuSign, AdobeSign). This allows our customers to complete their work in one place - accurately and fast.

We are looking for a Paralegal to help us with all content/document related customer requests (e.g., during onboarding). You will leverage your experience and passion in problem solving and attention to detail to ensure the needs of our customers are met.

This role is based out of our downtown Vancouver office and will report to the Head of Business, Corporate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

A sample of the specific work items includes:

- Modify "Content Packages." Content Packages are the blueprints/templates that enable our users to generate legal documents for their clients.

- Work with our Customer Success Team and our Development Team to ensure customer requests for content packages are delivered on time and to a high level of quality.

- Perform quality control testing on automated documents.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Education:

Paralegal Diploma with a demonstrated interest in document automation or a degree in another related discipline.

Experience:

- 3 or more years of experience in a Corporate Paralegal position

- History of quickly learning and using new technologies to deliver high quality results.

- Proficient in Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word). Ideally written basic Excel commands.

- Working in Agile environments and collaborating with teams.

For example, separating data into an excel spreadsheet and referring to that data in a Microsoft Word mail merge document would be a problem that you would enjoy.

- Process/Project Management: skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished. Highly organized and deadline driven.

- Teamwork: ability to (1) work effectively with people at all levels and departments of an organization, (2) collaborate and work with others to deliver results, and (3) contribute meaningfully to the team and prioritize group needs over individual needs.

- Communication: ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Strong written and verbal English communication.
