Overview
TDS is currently seeking a Paralegal with Real Estate experience. This position will primarily support the efforts of the Real Estate department and related lawyers at the organization, assisting with the completion of residential real estate transactions. In addition, this position will involve reviewing documents and files prepared by Legal Assistants in the Real Estate department, and meeting with clients to assist in closing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Performing due diligence for real estate transactions
• Drafting leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and other real property related documents.
• Reviewing and understanding title work and surveys
• Coordinating and preparing documents for transaction closings
• Reviewing documents and files prepared by legal assistants in the department
• Corresponding with clients, solicitors, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents
• Assist with development projects.

• Work effectively in a professional, fast paced environment
• Experience in an office or business environment
• Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong emphasis on attention to detail and proofreading
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mature attitude, professional and strong work ethic
• Dependability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and co-ordinate multiple projects with multiple individuals
• Has a mindset for helping others, a client service mentality, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work under pressure, stress, and tight deadlines at times
• Legal Administrative Assistant certificate or diploma
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong administration and research skills
• Knowledge of Conveyancer software
