Overview

TDS is currently seeking a Paralegal with Real Estate experience. This position will primarily support the efforts of the Real Estate department and related lawyers at the organization, assisting with the completion of residential real estate transactions. In addition, this position will involve reviewing documents and files prepared by Legal Assistants in the Real Estate department, and meeting with clients to assist in closing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing due diligence for real estate transactions
• Drafting leases, purchase contracts, easements, deeds, and other real property related documents.
• Reviewing and understanding title work and surveys
• Coordinating and preparing documents for transaction closings
• Reviewing documents and files prepared by legal assistants in the department
• Corresponding with clients, solicitors, mortgage brokers, and real estate agents
• Assist with development projects.

To be successful in this role, you must be extremely flexible, highly motivated with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team, with a mature, positive attitude and strong work ethic in a fast-paced, professional environment, are a must. To succeed as a legal assistant in this role, you must also possess the ability to prioritize, have superior organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
