Qualifications
Paralegal Diploma
membership with the Law Society of Ontario
Minimum 2 years of experience in a law office or professional services setting.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and basic accounting or scheduling tools.
Comfort using social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) for professional promotion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Discretion, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward learning and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities: Legal & Administrative Support
Assisting Counsel in preparation of litigation files
investigating facts and assisting in negotiations to resolve legal disputes
conducting research to support legal proceedings
Draft, review, and file correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents under lawyer direction.
Organize case files, maintain deadlines, and assist with court forms and filings.
Coordinate communications with clients, courts, and third parties.
Manage scheduling, billing, and office documentation.
Ensure compliance with Ontario court procedures and filing standards.
Appearing in Small Claims Court and Landlord & Tenant Board
assisting with various other activities related to administration of a law office
Social Media & Marketing Coordination
Draft and schedule posts for the firm's website and social media channels.
Monitor engagement, respond to inquiries, and help promote the firm's services online.
Assist in preparing newsletters, email campaigns, and other client-facing communications.
Investment & Wealth Administration
Maintain organized records of personal and corporate investments.
Track key dates, renewals, and documents related to holdings, insurance, or real estate.
Assist in research, budgeting, and data entry for financial planning purposes.

$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
