We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively on various projects, including renovations and restorations.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
Estimate materials needed for each job and manage inventory effectively.
Perform plastering and caulking as necessary to ensure smooth finishes.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools and hand tools.
Execute trim carpentry and fixture installation as part of the finishing process.
Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on construction sites.
Skills
Proficient in construction estimating and basic math skills for accurate material calculations.
Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in painting projects.
Experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and construction painting.
Familiarity with plastering techniques and stucco application.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Competence in carpentry skills including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and maintenance person experience.
Knowledge of concrete finishing and masonry work is a plus.
Experience with airless paint spraying techniques is preferred.
