Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory, construction practices, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work effectively on various projects, including renovations, restorations, and new constructions.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix paints and stains to achieve desired colors and finishes. Perform drywall repairs, plastering, and caulking as necessary. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; report any malfunctions or issues. Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in the installation of fixtures and trim carpentry as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects. Strong knowledge of color theory and application techniques. Familiarity with construction estimating and basic math skills for measuring areas accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Experience with plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry work, and renovation projects is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Prior experience on construction sites is highly desirable. Maintenance Person experience with skills in maintenance tasks is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
