Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and restoration practices, with the ability to work on both residential and commercial projects. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Execute restoration projects to enhance the appearance of existing structures. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including caulking and carpentry. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project progress and any concerns.

Skills

Proficient in construction painting techniques for both residential and commercial applications. Strong understanding of restoration processes and materials. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Experience with rigging for safe handling of materials at heights or in challenging environments. Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in the painting industry. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of projects. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Knowledge of industrial painting practices is a plus. Pay: $17.41-$31.70 per hour
