Raw Canvas is a leader in the paint-and-sip industry. We are excited to extend the invite to fun charismatic art instructors as we continue to grow province wide! We are now hiring for our new location in Westbrook Mall, Calgary AB. Customers will follow your instruction while they paint on their own stretched canvases with acrylic paint. The ideal candidates for our jobs will have an outgoing personality, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and the ability to work quickly and energetically with our team of artists. We are looking for both part-time and full-time employees.Responsibilities include:

• Creating & developing paintings to be taught in classes and used for promotional items.
• Developing & executing detailed teaching methods
• Instructing customers during class in an energetic, clear, and well-paced manner while encouraging creativity and creating a relaxed, fun atmosphere
• Assisting customers and staff member(s) to ensure smooth class flow and promote customer painting success through teamwork and positive attitude.
• Being able to embrace social media and add flair to the brand

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to design and execute quality, acrylic paintings in various painting styles Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Gsuite (Google Docs, Sheet etc.).
• Social media experience and expertise (i.e., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
• Public Speaking or performance skills (comfortable speaking on a microphone)
• Active Pro Serve lisence
• Great time management and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task

Preferred Education/Experience:

• College Degree in Art or Design-related field.
• Experience leading a group of people (classroom or otherwise)Drama, comedian etc. are also accepted

Events and Hours:

• 4-8 hours per shift. Weekday evenings and weekends, flexible hours.
• Events occur online and in corporate and private spaces (homes) in Edmonton.

Compensation:

• Depending on your experience, we offer anything from $18 to $22 an hour + Tips
• Additional earnings options are available.
