Report to: Quality Assurance

HQ: Teeswater, ON

The Packaging Technician (Level 1) will be responsible for the efficient packaging of products, ensuring they meet quality standards and are prepared for distribution. The ideal candidate will live or is willing to relocate in close proximity to Teeswater.

Scope of Work:

Product Handling & Packaging:

Weigh, portion, and package finished Cannabis products with precision. Assemble and label product packaging according to regulatory requirements. Ensure product consistency, quality, and compliance with Health Canada regulations.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:

Accurately complete required paperwork and batch records. Follow all Health Canada guidelines, Good Production Practices (GPP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Production Support(if required):

Assist in the preparation of Gummies, Capsules, Topicals and Extracts for the extraction process. Collect and organize extracted material for further processing.

Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of packaging equipment. Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols.

Teamwork & Workplace Culture:

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. Contribute to a positive, professional, and safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, food production, or a regulated industry is an asset.

Drivers license and reliable transportation is required for this position as the farm is located in a rural area.

Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Ability to stand for an extended period of time, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. As well as the repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.

Able to work in environments where temperatures range from 20 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius. Work outdoors in all weather conditions including hot, cold, rain and snow.

Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required. Hours will fluctuate based on the growing season and operational needs.

Must be of legal age to work in the industry. A mandatory criminal record check with the OPP will be required prior to any offer being made. Must not have any criminal convictions or arrests involving drug-related offences.

Knowledge of farm equipment such as a tractor considered an asset.

A passion of cannabis and/or cannabis cultivation and processing considered an asset.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
