We are currently looking for

Early Learning Child-Care (ELCC) Educators - Level 1

to join our team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Early Learning Child-Care (ELCC), the

Early Childhood Educator - Level 1

role will be responsible for providing Early Learning programming and services for children in our care. You will be required to provide leadership and direction supporting the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-being of the children in our care through the development of Christ-centered curriculum.

Provide the highest quality early learning experiences, including storytelling, music, art, dramatic play, and physical activities, fostering children's resilience and overall well-being. Implement child-care programs and curriculum that aligns with Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework and QFCC's Christian mission, vision and goals. Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, promoting their independence and self-care skills. Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discussing progress with parents and other staff. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, management, and families. Adhere to health and safety legislation, guidelines, protocols, and procedures established by Quiver Full childcare and relevant regulatory authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of staff, children, their families and other guests. Carryout safe and effective methods for managing distressed children, including techniques to mitigate the risk of injury to staff and child. Provide support, guidance, and relief to staff members as needed. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during class time, respecting diversity and cultural differences while ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of all participants. Model positive behavior and promoting conflict resolution tactics to create a culture of safety, respect, and emotional well-being among children and staff. Attend and lead staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary. Work to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials. Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the role?



Post Secondary Education in Early Learning and Childcare Diploma; 2-year post-degree; Alberta Teaching Certificate; Child and Youth Care Diploma; Social Work Diploma; or a combination of relevant education and experience is required Level 1 ECE Alberta Childcare Staff Certification. Minimum of 1- years Early Childhood Education experience is an asset. New graduates are welcomed Valid First Aid Certification and infant CPR Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, to foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Solid understanding of the Alberta childcare licensing standards, and Alberta health and safety guidelines. Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job. Adaptable individual that can adjust their approach, mindset, and actions to effectively respond to new challenges, environments, and circumstances. Ability to lift 23 kg A Food Safety Course is an asset. A valid police information check with vulnerable sector. For the purposes of this application, a valid PIC-VS is one dated no more than 3 months before an applicant submits their application for this position.

Pay: $17.23-$19.97 per hour
