33 Acres Brewing Company is on the search for a Packaging Manager! Based in our Vancouver production facility, centrally located in the Mount Pleasant area. As the Packaging Manager you will lead our small packaging team by example, overseeing all packaging operations to get our award winning beer into bottles, cans and kegs for distribution throughout BC and beyond while championing safety, quality and efficiency. You are fastidious, mechanically minded and make time for training and preventative maintenance. • Simultaneously lead multiple small teams with positivity
• Operate bottling, canning and kegging equipment
• Schedule staff to meet production goals
• Monitor product and equipment to ensure quality standards are being met
• Maintain and repair packaging equipment to ensure reliability and integrity
• Train staff in the safe and efficient operation of all packaging equipment
• Manage inventory of consumable items and spare parts
• Build organizational and practical systems for your team
• Ensure procedures and standards are up to date and reflect best practice.

The ideal candidate:

• Loves beer and has worked in the craft beer industry for 2+ years, with experience as a packaging operator on canning or bottling equipment.
• Has excellent time management skills.
• Is experienced in managing teams, production and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Possesses a high level of attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
• Is able to complete work of a physical nature, including working on their feet for long periods of time, working in tight spaces and repeatedly lifting and moving loads of 25kg
• Communicates effectively across a range of media with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Has experience using spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) and brewery management software (Ekos)
• Has a valid Canadian work permit

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $45,760.00-$54,080.00 per year Benefits:
