Boshart Industries is currently looking to fill the position of Packaging Lead Hand. A Packaging Lead Hand is responsible for supporting the Supervisor in the daily functions of the Packaging team, including evaluating the quality of work, organizing team tasks, maintaining safe work standards, and providing ad hoc support as requested.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Packaging Labourer is responsible for understanding and carrying out all packaging duties as required and is expected to pack and assemble all products within the department maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Package and assemble products Rework product as needed to conform to QA standards Labelling of products as required Substitution of product going from retail to wholesale Follow direction given by supervisor or lead hand Pick products for work orders making sure all transfers are done accurately Use of computer and handheld to print labels and receive work orders Organize and put any products in their designated pick slot in the packaging area Work well independently or as part of a team Work quickly and confidently in a fast-paced environment, following all Company policies and procedures

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recommend and suggest any process improvements to increase departmental efficiency Maintain work areas and keep them well organized and clean

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Some education with 0-6 months working experience

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Mechanically inclined would be an asset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Lift at least 50 lbs. Forklift license Basic mathematic skills
