Guardteck Security is hiring a Security Patrol Officer in Penticton.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Security Patrol Officer to complete three nightly patrols, seven days a week, on a consistent schedule. This is a unique role designed for someone reliable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts.
Shift Details and Schedule:

• Three patrols per night:

• 11:00 pm
• 2:00 am
• 5:00 am * Schedule: 7 nights a week

Compensation:

• Monthly total: $1,916

What you will be doing:

• Assist with all scheduled security patrols
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
• Provide timely and detailed reporting
• Exercise sound judgment and make decisions that support the client and property
• Maintain compliance with property standards, rules, and regulations
• Utilize tact, diplomacy, and professionalism at all times
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive
• Maintain and enforce access control procedures
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of emergency protocols and standard operating procedures
• Safely and respectfully manage trespassers or unauthorized individuals
• Maintain a detailed memo book and prepare clear incident reports
• Conduct periodic foot patrols of the property
• Investigate incidents and occurrences
• Prepare thorough incident and occurrence reports
• Maintain the peace, safety, and security of all patrons and clients
• De-escalate crisis or emergency situations
• Assist emergency services and law enforcement personnel when required

Skills and qualifications you need:

• Valid BC Security License
• Minimum 1 year of prior security experience
• Strong customer service skills (prior experience is an asset)
• Professional, disciplined, and ethical approach
• Ability to follow procedures and routines consistently
• Strong observation and communication skills
• High level of professionalism and reliability
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Proactive mindset in addressing on-site situations
• Ability to work in fast-paced indoor and outdoor environments
• Ability to manage stress and make sound decisions under pressure
• Comfortable working in busy or high-traffic areas
• High attention to detail and situational awareness
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to work well within a team
• First Aid Level 1 is an asset (not mandatory)
