PositionOverhead Door Technician - Mississauga, ONKey ResponsibilitiesThe Overhead Door Technician is a self-motivated individual who will perform an array of duties including: installation of residential and commercial overhead doors, repairing and servicing existing customer doors, and inspecting jobsites.The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent organizational and time management skills.   • Install residential and commercial overhead doors following Company procedures and industry standards.
  • Diagnose problems, provided solutions, and estimate labour required to repair and service existing customer overhead doors.
  • Inspect jobsites to ensure tasks completed are to Company and Industry standards.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and customer service oriented attitude
  • Operate hand tools, such as tape measure, torch, saw, drill, etc.
  • Load and secure products safely to work truck.
  • Work from heights to complete door installations via ladder, scaffolding, or aerial lift.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the overhead door industry with residential and commercial applications.
  • CDI certification is an asset.
  • Fall protection certification preferred
  • Elevated work platform preferred
  • Standard first aid preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and welding is an asset.
  • Compliant with safety procedures with a strong safety mindset.
  • Great physical stamina, manual dexterity and physically fit - capable of lifting and carrying up to 75lbs/34kg.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada and be located in the Saskatoon, SK Area.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract is required.
