Position Summary BUD\xe2\x80\x99s Industrial is seeking Overhead Door Technician/ Installers to join our Team based in Whitehorse, Yukon. This opportunity involves working with specialized equipment and tools to install overhead doors and related hardware at commercial and residential sites.
Higher compensation for Journeyman ticket or 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a relevant trade (for example, construction, welding, millwright, electrical). Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install new door systems and openers;
  • Install dock seals and bumpers;
  • Assemble door systems with all the hardware;
  • Install weather-stripping;
  • Replace hardware on existing doors.
Qualifications
  • Completion of secondary school diploma or equivalent is preferred;
  • Comparable industry experiences an asset but not required;
  • Basic carpentry skills with ability to use a variety of tools and equipment;
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any weather conditions;
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing;
  • Comfortable working safely at heights;
  • Able to analyze information and troubleshoot problems;
  • First aid, lift ticket or fall arrest training considered an asset;
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic are a must.
