Position: Outside Sales Representative
Location: Etobicoke, on-site 100% Monday-Friday

If you are looking for a profession that will constantly have you doing something new, then an Outside Sales Representative role just may be the job for you.

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will conduct sales both in and out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. You will be responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary.

Your excellent social skills will allow you to foster strong relationships, which will attribute much of your success in this role.

Skills Required:

- Excellent Communication skills with the ability to persuade and successfully negotiate terms to close a sale
- Manufacturing, carpentry, building, or similar industry experience is a must
- 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, conducting pricing, quotations and or estimates
- Knowledge of production processes to estimate schedules and time constraints
- Problem solver, out of the box thinker, who can provide acceptable alternative solutions to close a sale
- Excellent Interpersonal skills which help to build rapport and trust with customers; always representing the company with integrity and honesty
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering documents and service level contracts
- Organizational skills which enable you to multitask and prioritize customer requests and prospective workload effectively
- Product knowledge is essential to represent the full line of products accurately to both existing and prospective customers/accounts
- Trade show experience is considered an asset

Teamwork:

- Work responsively and collaboratively with teammates
- Share information in a timely manner
- Work with others to resolve outstanding issues

Primary Responsibilities:

- Solicit existing and prospective customers/accounts to gather information regarding upcoming projects to determine if there is a solid sales opportunity
- Provide product information, estimates and potential alternatives and solutions to close the sale
- Confirm details and specifications to provide information to confirm the final quotations
- Work with production to confirm timelines for delivery
- Efficiently and effectively manage daily communication flow with customers and internal team members
- Resolve customer/accounts complaints regarding delivery and quality with production and shipping personnel
- Follow up with their customers/accounts to ensure that they are satisfied, occasionally visiting job sites
- Maintain close contact with customers/accounts, resolves issues and answers relevant questions to promote a positive experience for customers
- Understand the dynamics of the competitive environment, customers specific preferences and needs
- Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, and other activities to support business and personnel development
