CPGsurplus is a leading surplus wholesale distributor specializing in short-coded food and beverage products within the liquidation retail channel. Our mission is to provide high-quality, cost-effective surplus goods to independent retailers, helping them thrive in a competitive market. We are seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative to expand our footprint in Ontario and Quebec.

Job Summary:



The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities with independent surplus stores in Ontario and Quebec. This is a hunter role focused on building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, and navigating the unique challenges of the liquidation retail channel. The ideal candidate will leverage their industry expertise and sales acumen to meet and exceed sales targets while representing our brand with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:



Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities with independent surplus stores in Ontario and Quebec.

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through regular in-person visits, follow-ups, and exceptional customer service.

Present and sell short-coded food and beverage products tailored to the needs of liquidation retail clients.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences in the Canadian food and beverage industry.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any client issues.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in the company's CRM system.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Minimum 5 years of experience selling into independent surplus stores in Ontario and Quebec, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

In-depth knowledge of the Canadian consumer goods industry, specifically food and beverage, including an understanding of short-coded product dynamics and the liquidation retail landscape's unique challenges (e.g., pricing sensitivity, inventory turnover, regulatory compliance).

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for frequent travel to client locations across Ontario and Quebec.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.

Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to maximize sales.

Education and Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of B2B sales experience in the surplus or liquidation retail channel, specifically with food and beverage products.

Pay: $60,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
