OUTREACH COORDINATOR - FULL TIME

Manitoba Start is the leading provider of career development and job matching services to immigrants and employers in Manitoba. We assist newcomers in adjusting to the Canadian landscape as it pertains to employment and to enable meaningful connections to the Manitoba labour market.

Job Summary Reporting to Director, Operations, the Manitoba Start Outreach Coordinator will market the programs offered by the organization and support the work of organization by identifying potential opportunities with employers and businesses seeking to hire and support immigrant newcomers; and facilitating information, awareness and connections with post-secondary institutions, sector councils, partners and ethno-cultural organizations. The Outreach Coordinator will also assist with promoting Manitoba Start as the FCR Center of Excellence. The Outreach Coordinator will be an ambassador for Manitoba Start as the organization strives to enhance its presence and visibility within the community and increase its outreach to both newcomer clients and businesses.

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in public relations, with proven ability to engage stakeholders and build relationships with organizations and businesses in the Manitoba market. Experience working with newcomers from diverse socio-economic, occupational, and cultural backgrounds. Client-service oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to and empathize with immigrants from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience in moderating both online and inperson events. Experience developing and managing social media content and campaigns across platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) to engage diverse audiences. Strong attention to detail with demonstrated skills in written communication, research, documentation, problem-solving, and analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively both independently and as part of a culturally diverse team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database systems, and internet research. Skilled in developing and maintaining positive, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, employers, and colleagues. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessible communications. Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License and access to a vehicle. Flexibility to attend events, conferences, and activities outside of regular working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Annual Salary: $54,500 based on a 35 hour work week. Manitoba Start offers a competitive benefits package and a comprehensive training program.
