Role Overview:







ECO Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and personable Outreach Coordinator to help promote the Sustainable Blue Economy Professional (SBEP) designation. The role focuses on following up with existing leads, conducting outreach to ocean-sector employers and workforce organizations, and encouraging professionals to apply for the designation. The coordinator will schedule virtual meetings, share program information, track outreach progress, and provide regular updates to the project team.


This role is a full-time contract position until December 15, 2025.


Responsibilities:




Make outbound calls to potential leads to promote and discuss the SBEP designation program on a daily basis. Follow up with existing leads, answering questions and guiding them through the application process. Proactively generate new leads through research, networking, and outreach strategies. Track and document all interactions and progress in the lead management system. Collaborate with the ECO Canada/Blue Economy team to align outreach efforts with the organization's acquisition goals. Report regularly on progress, challenges, and successes. Meet or exceed weekly/monthly targets for lead outreach and new applications.

Experience:




Experience in outreach, customer service, and/or sales coordination. Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail. Strong telephone and email communications skills. Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet weekly targets. Able to measure success metrics and identify trends.

Qualifications and Education

:


Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, business administration, environmental studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in outreach, customer service, sales support, recruitment, or administrative coordination. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in phone and email outreach. Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to track multiple contacts and follow-ups. Comfortable working independently and meeting outreach targets. Experience using LinkedIn and CRM systems (an asset). Knowledge or interest in the ocean sector work is an advantage but not required.
