Taro Brand Manager will serve as the marketing lead for Taro\'s unique line of Branded OTC and healthcare products. He/she will be responsible for monitoring brand health and competitive activity, coordinating projects and launch plans for product and SKU rollout, partnering with the Sales team to create compelling selling stories and participating in business development activities focused on adding new brands to our portfolio.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the OTC brand strategy and execution in alignment with the company business objectives across all marketing & distribution channels
  • Partner with Sales team to create compelling brand and category stories to expand distribution and secure new item sell-in. Preparation of selling decks and materials to support sales team.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of e-commerce website(s) to ensure a strong user and brand experience.
  • Identify, recommend and execute strategies and promotional programs to establish brand awareness, trial, conversion, website traffic and sales success for brick and mortar stores as well as e-commerce platform.
  • Working with the PR Agency to evaluate PR & communications strategies to ensure overarching brand messages are delivered through optimal media exposures.
  • Liaise with Sales to assist in developing sell-in and sell-through strategies
  • Lead Social Media efforts to ensure best-in class content, community engagement and KPIs
  • Manage the development, monitoring and coordination of promotional budget spending.
  • Spearhead initiatives such as packaging, merchandising, pricing, and communication development.
  • Develop benchmarks and reports that track performance and drive actionable insight, identify new opportunities and learning using market data (Neilsen, IRI, etc.).
  • Perform consumer insight research and activity to identify research needs and establish programs designed to meet those needs, including deeper consumer understanding and innovation planning.
  • Partner with regulatory and marketing to ensure label, packaging and promotional materials development.
  • Participate in P&L management and monthly sales forecasting.
  • Develop brand briefs and manage content development for websites, digital and social media.
  • Participate with cross functional teams and develop and execute launch plans to ensure in market success.
  • Conduct brand reviews, analyze and track product line performance to identify product line improvement, new product and promotion effectiveness improvement opportunities.
  • Performs other marketing management duties as required.
  • Participate in trade shows as needed.
Qualifications
  • University or College degree in Marketing/Business Management/Communications or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management in the CPG industry and a passion for health & wellness, beauty and personal care.
  • Experience working with Brick & Mortar Stores as well as E-commerce platform (Shopify preferred.)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience to drive the P&L and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge and experience with all mass trade channels (Grocery, Drug, Mass, Natural, Specialty, E-Commerce.)
  • Strong fundamental business skills as well as the energy level and "disruption mindset"
(entrepreneurial spirit and innovative sensibility.) * Agency management experience.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and strong background working with syndicated data.
  • Proven track record of leading an engaged, high performing team.
  • Energy, passion and a strong desire to build a transformational brand in today\'s marketplace.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience marketing CPG products via ecommerce and natural space a plus.
