The stated hours of work are approximate at 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the OD Consultant (ODC) fosters coalitions and provides an employee experience that promotes the Health Centre's purpose, strategic plan and well-being framework. The ODC enables improved productivity and efficiency across the organization, by creating a culture that embraces learning, change and innovation, fosters employee engagement and satisfaction, attracts and retains talent, and improves communication. The ODC focuses on leadership development and employee well-being, fostering a coaching culture, integrating EDIA-RR initiatives in HR operations, and leads the Performance Appraisal systems.
Designing and implementing PRHC's learning and development strategy the ODC leads all stages of the learning lifecycle including tool identification, curriculum design, content delivery, facilitation, measurement, documentation, and maintenance.
The ODC works in alignment with the Organizational Effectiveness Consultant (OEC) and provides strategic advice to key internal stakeholders such as Managers, Directors, Collaborative Practice, Quality, business units and the HR Division to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven Well-being strategies that recognize and retain staff and align with the strategic and operational plans guiding the Health Centre to be a workplace where people can thrive.
The ODC consults with the OEC, Talent Acquisition Lead, HR Business Partners (HRBPs) HR Managers and HR Directors as appropriate on escalated and/or complex matters with the potential for broad, organization-wide impact as well as the implementation of programs and policies.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Undergraduate degree in Organizational Effectiveness/Development, Human Resources, Adult Education, Psychology, Business or a related field or equivalent experience, or
Undergraduate degree in a related field with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management
Human Resources Professional Designation or subject matter expertise certification
Certifications and applied practice in one or more of the following: change management, project management, facilitation, coaching, talent management, or leadership development
In pursuit of recipient of Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) or Certified Talent Management Practitioner (CTMP)
WHO YOU ARE:
Minimum 3 years' experience inclusive of any or all of: Organizational Effectiveness/Development, Organizational Design and Learning Development
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible learning and people development experience
Hands-on project manager with proven ability to effectively collaborate with partners to implement change initiatives within established timelines
Strong communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to take concepts and express them concisely and effectively for various stakeholders
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Superior professional judgment, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills
Highly organized, proven attention to accuracy and detail and an ability to produce high-quality work
Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and continuous quality improvement
Proven track record of implementing Organizational Development programs and initiatives including employee well-being, workplace culture, leadership development, learning development and diversity and inclusion
Knowledge of organizational change management
Demonstrated application of motivational techniques, adult learning principals and public speaking skills
Proficiency in effective learning and development methods (mentoring, coaching, training, facilitating workshops, conducting simulations and assessments), e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems
Demonstrated ability to design, facilitate and evaluate training programs aligned with operational and corporate goals and objectives
Experience in change management, budgeting, team dynamics, coaching models and Emotional Intelligence
Ability to constructively address confrontation, and experience with complex team dynamics and group processes
Technical skills include use of instructional multi-media and authoring tools (Articulate) and Learning Management Systems, as well as knowledge of learning administration related business processes
Cognizant of self, team and environment and an ability to be an exceptional individual performer and contribute to a high-performing team
Experience practicing in a unionized environment is preferred
Experience working within the healthcare sector or broader public service sector is preferred
