Order Management Specialist

Job Description


Robert Half is excited to partner with a leading marketer and distributor in the automotive, industrial, and retail sectors, currently seeking an Order Management Specialist. This role is an integral part of a dynamic team, responsible for overseeing the entire order process, from initial receipt to final delivery. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for customer order management, ensuring seamless transaction flow and providing exceptional support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complete customer service functions for assigned accounts.
- Accurately enter and process orders using various platforms, including EDI, web portals, email, and phone.
- Handle all aspects of order transactions, ensuring accuracy from entry to delivery.
- Utilize customer-specific web portals for managing orders, including processing, confirmation, invoicing, and more.
- Address order compliance issues, including dispute resolution and documentation support.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and the sales team.
- Collaborate with inventory planners and supply chain personnel to guarantee product availability and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations for efficient delivery schedules.
- Perform data entry tasks related to account information, product pricing, and details.
- Resolve order discrepancies, pricing issues, and other product-related inquiries in collaboration with customers, sales, and finance teams.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.

Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in warehousing and logistics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, JDE or Oracle is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, etc.).

Requirements:
- A post-secondary diploma or degree is preferred; a high school diploma is mandatory.
- 2-5 years of experience in Customer Service.
- Bilingualism in English and French is beneficial.

Additional Information:

This role offers a hybrid work model, combining office and remote work. Candidates should be within commuting distance to the Oakville office. During the initial training and probation period, more frequent office attendance is required.
