We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Experience in pediatrics, senior care, or optical sales is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases.
Prescribe corrective lenses and other visual aids as needed.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
Requirements
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state optometry license to practice.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry.
Experience in pediatrics, senior care, or optical sales is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
