Optical Assistant

to join our dynamic team in

Pemberton, BC

As an Optical Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating an outstanding experience for our patients--from their first phone call to helping them select lenses and frames that fit their vision needs and lifestyle. Whether you're a seasoned optician or have experience in the optical field and are looking to grow, we're ready to support the right candidate with hands-on and online training.

Flexible hours

: our clinic operates Tuesday-Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturdays 10am-4pm. We are looking for someone who is available to work Saturdays and 1-2 other days.

Key Responsibilities



Greet patients and schedule appointments using our electronic medical records (EMR) system Assist patients with frame and lens selection, using doctor recommendations and product knowledge Dispense and adjust glasses and contact lenses Provide exceptional service and communication throughout the patient journey Participate in community events and mobile clinics Help improve office workflow and patient care with initiative and creativity

What We're Looking For



Experience in the optical industry

is a strong asset Interest in becoming a

Certified Optometric Assistant

(we'll support your training) Strong

customer service and communication skills

A self-starter with

initiative and a positive attitude

Passion for

community involvement

and helping others Willingness to learn EMR and clinic systems (training provided)
