We are seeking a Sales Associate/Optical Assistant as well as a dual

LicensedOptician

to join our busy optical establishment in Red Deer! Sales experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Must be willing to work Saturdays 9am-4pm

Job Overview

Full Time or Part Time Employment Available Must be available Saturdays Medical and Dental Benefits available after 3 months for Full Time employment. The Sales Associate/Optical Assistant will provide a broad range of optical and customer service support as directed The Sales Associate/Optical Assistant will offer expertise in the dispensary areas of frame selection/sales and customer assistance The Sales Associate/Optical Assistant duties are not limited to the list below and may cross other departments when required and assigned Must have a keen sense of fashion

Greet patients/customers in a friendly and professional manner while building rapport. Assist patients with frame selection. Enter orders and accurate patient information as well as supply insurance forms and receipts. Verify prescription eyeglasses and notify patients when eyewear is ready for pick up. Schedule follow up appointments as needed. Instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses. Troubleshoot and problem solve eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction. Merchandise dispensary and maintain cleaning procedures and standards. Monitor job status from optical labs and ensure accuracy and quality. Establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, management, suppliers and general public. Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures

Requirements

Grade 12, GED or equivalent Must be available to work Saturdays Sales experience preferred Optical experience an asset Exceptional customer service/Interpersonal skills Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable and trustworthy Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when entering data Willingness to learn Possess a keen sense of fashion
