As an Operations Support Manager, you will shape the future of Loblaw\xe2\x80\x99s grocery e-commerce fulfillment strategy and drive the execution of that strategy. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual who \xe2\x80\x9cthinks like an owner\xe2\x80\x9d, is inherently curious, likes solving problems and is focused on achieving key performance targets. You will be responsible for implementing existing processes at our e-commerce Fulfillment Centres, assessing current processes, identifying improvements, and working collaboratively with peers across Loblaw and the Loblaw Enterprise to action your recommendations. Key accountabilities will also include achieving P&L targets, applying established processes and standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction standards are met or exceeded.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
This individual will be an expert in existing Micro Fulfillment Centre (MFC) processes and related training programs and standards or have an engineering or business background. The role of the Operations Support Manager is to improve MFC operations by finding opportunities, whether process or technology, and participating in the process improvement cycle. Evaluating and prioritizing improvement projects. Managing ongoing projects.

  • The Operations Support Manager will have a passion for data analysis to advise on the development of innovative process improvement, as well as Product & Tech enhancements
  • They are competent in SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools to analyze large sets of data with the goal of summarizing a set of actionable insights and recommendations
  • They enhance and support the Customer Experience and drive efficient behaviors and assist in identifying and mitigating financial risk through data analysis, observation, and improvement initiatives
  • As an expert in Fulfillment Centre operations, consult on projects led by other business units that could impact operations at Fulfillment Centres
  • Liaise with Loblaw Supply Chain Operations to leverage process improvement where these could benefit fulfillment operations
  • Interact regularly with Area Managers to understand how MFC processes impact PC Express department service levels and find opportunities for improvement
  • Focus will be concentrated on achieving core targets such as: Item Found Rate, % of customer basket filled by MFC, Cost (Labour, supplies), Shrink, and Customer Experience (OSAT)
  • Develop and implement centrally created standards including control standards (Inventory, Health & Safety, product recalls, food safety, etc.), service level guidelines, and operational standards (order accuracy, MFC process, stage by times, etc.)
  • Perform operational reviews of services, analyzing and comparing budgets to actual data for order volumes, basket penetration, order fulfillment rate (in-stock), picking rates, labor usage, and the overall economics of the cost impact as a % of sales for the MFC business to identify areas for improvement

  • You are a strong business partner and communicator. You have experience in telling stories with data using PowerPoint and other business communication tools. You have the interpersonal skills and ability to influence and liaise with internal and external business partners to achieve desired results
  • Are open to travel and flexible. Ability to travel between Fulfillment Centres and our stores, and available to work early and late shifts in some circumstances (weekdays & weekends)
  • Have specific system skills. You are familiar with in-store systems such as SAP, POS, and Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.)
  • You hold a University Degree or Post-secondary education in Engineering or Business Management or a related field.
