Reporting to the Director of Paramedicine and Medical Transport, the Operations Supervisor acts as a leader and role model for staff and is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and supervising Eastern Health\'s ground ambulance, air and dispatch personnel. The Operations Supervisor will provide support to all working staff on shift, including providing first line CISM activation and support and assisting on serious 911 calls, with Medical Flight or DispatchThis position is responsible for quality monitoring activities, such as monitoring radio activity, station cleanliness and stock checks, OHS assessments, reviewing narcotic counts, vehicle checks, etc. The Shift Supervisor also ensures staff are adhering to policies and displaying professional conduct.The Operations Supervisor also acts as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders and assists Operations Managers with daily operations and planning as assigned by the Program Director.Job QualificationsEducation
Completion of an Accredited Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) or Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program from Canadian Medical Association is required.
Completion of a bachelor\'s degree in a health related field is preferred.Experience
Minimum of five years of prehospital transport experience in a high call volume performance-based EMS system is required.
Experience in a leadership or quality management role is preferred.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
