Overview / Description

The Project Manager is a key player in the everyday function of the Agency. The idea of crossing something off their check list excites them, filing systems give them a strange thrill, and they are truly passionate about managing projects through pre-defined process flows. This candidate's mission is to help deliver an excellent final product in a time-efficient manner, on budget.

Responsibilities / Responsabilites

  • Outstanding project management abilities.
  • Accountability to see projects through from inception to final delivery. The candidate should be able to hold themselves and the teams accountable for making deadlines, setting manageable due dates, and scheduling checkpoints at key milestones.
  • Excellent organizational skills. This individual needs to ask the right questions to understand the project scope, absorb the details from the brief, and prepare a plan of action for all parties involved.
  • Excellent communication skills. Listening to any concerns flagged by the team and working with them to find solutions. Should be quick to flag any issues potentially impacting delivery.
  • Flexibility to accept a change of plans or bumps in the road, formulate a new plan and help the team adapt.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset: work with various groups to understand the scope of what's requested and negotiate fair timelines or find creative solutions to the problem at hand.
A day in the life: * Coordinate all project management activities for assigned brands, from project scoping to final delivery and key checkpoints in between.
  • Support Client Service to manage project scope, build timelines, update status reports, track financial performance and follow-up with various teams for ongoing deliverables.
  • Ensure client needs are being met by negotiating deadlines, re-prioritizing jobs and flagging any risk on delivery.
  • Think outside the box and collaborate with key team members to find solutions.
  • Work with Operations to support Resource Management function.
  • Thorough understanding of steps in Agency process and ability to apply to project management.
  • Support our endeavor to achieve our two key Agency priorities of "excellent work without driving ourselves crazy."
Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Agency/pharmaceutical experience an asset
  • PMP certification an asset
