We are seeking an experienced and reliable
Operations Manager
to assist the
Managing Director
in overseeing all operational activities and ensuring smooth and efficient moving services.

Key Responsibilities:Operations & Dispatch
? Handle
incoming and outgoing calls
professionally.
?
Dispatch
movers, packers, vehicles, and moving equipment/materials.
?
Monitor the dispatch process daily
and ensure all scheduled moves are executed efficiently.
?
Reschedule or edit booked moves
when needed.
?
Confirm move details
with customers a few days before their scheduled move.
?
Provide moving materials
after confirmation calls.
? Ensure
all movers and drivers are in uniform
before leaving the office.
Customer Service & Problem Solving
? Resolve any issues related to
damages, misunderstandings, or complaints
between customers and movers/office staff.
?
Address and escalate complaints
to the customer service department when necessary.
? Communicate directly with customers
before, during, and after their moves
to ensure a smooth experience.
?
Solve problems
that arise throughout the day, such as parking issues, delays, and unexpected challenges.
? Ensure
a smooth process for movers and customers
by handling issues efficiently.
Team & Employee Management
?
Train, onboard, and mentor movers
to develop high-performing move teams.
?
Monitor driver attendance
and ensure adherence to all processes.
? Identify and address
lateness, absenteeism, or non-compliance
among movers.
? Provide
feedback on employee performance
to the Managing Director.
? Ensure
every mover and driver is confirmed
and ready before each job.
? Assist the
dispatcher
when needed.
?
Track and log employee hours.
Equipment & Logistics
?
Check and report any missing equipment
(iPads, truck keys, POS machines, gas cards, etc.).
? Ensure
all iPads and POS machines are properly docked and charging
.
? Monitor wear and tear on
trucks and moving equipment
and report issues.
? Ensure company property, such as uniforms and materials, are
distributed properly
.
Administrative & Compliance
?
Complete daily tasks
to prepare for future moves.
?
Review upcoming jobs
to optimize manpower and equipment use, maximizing capacity during peak times.
?
Ensure compliance
with company policies and safety regulations.
? Complete
additional tasks
as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
? Must be a
resident of Fredericton / Saint John / Greater Moncton
with
no criminal record or convictions
.
? Must be a
Canadian Permanent Resident
or
Citizen
.
? Minimum
5 years of experience in the moving industry
.
? Minimum
3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
in the moving business.
?
Excellent communication skills
(written, verbal, and digital).
? Strong
organizational and planning
skills.
?
Fluent in English
(reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
?
Computer skills
and ability to use
CRM software (SmartMoving)
.
? Ability to
strategically manage conflicts and build consensus
.
? Strong
problem-solving skills
and ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
? Ability to
drive a 16' / 20' / 26' straight truck
(preferred, but not required).
? Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs
(if needed).
