Description :Looking for a great opportunity to work with the largest RV Dealer in the industry?We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player to join our Team in the role of General Operations Manager. This is a Full-Time, Regular position working out of our Abbotsford, BC Dealership,SUMMARY:As the General Operations Manager (GOM), this role will manage the overall Fixed Operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Dealership. The experienced General Operations Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems.The General Operations Manager duties and responsibilities may include interviewing, selection, and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; authoring and discussing with employee\xe2\x80\x99s performance appraisals; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards. Organizing the budget of the company in collaboration with the General Manager.The General Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the parts, service, and paint & body departments. This role gives direction to all aspects of the parts, service, and paint & body departments to ensure sales and profitability targets are met while maintaining excellent customer service standards and high employee morale.Playing an active role as part of the senior management team of the location, the General Operations Manager sets a tone consistent with Company Values, the highest standards of business ethics and a commitment to fair treatment and respect for Company Staff. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:General:
  • Adhere to the company Mission, Vision & Values
  • Manage revenue, expenses, and profitability to agreed-upon targets
  • Ensure all aspects of the location operations and facilities are in accordance to Branding, policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Manage and improve synergies between Parts, Service, Paint & Body and the Sales department
  • Mentor staff to improve their skills and guide their career development opportunities within the company
  • Conduct regular team meetings
  • Develops and maintain facilities to display our commitment to excellence
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, terminations and performance management for the teams.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals for all Parts and Service staff.
  • Develop and monitor training for staff (in conjunction with the GM and HR/Training)
  • Achievement of KPIs set for dealership and for personal performance.
  • Any other items, as directed by the GM
Parts:
  • Control inventory, making sure that regular stocked items are ordered
  • Complete monthly inventory spot checks
  • Implement and follow the proper parts ordering procedures
  • Ensure that Shipping and Receiving procedures are followed
  • Ensure proper parts storage
  • Review slow or non-moving parts on a annual basis to either return or throw away
  • Review gross profit report on monthly sales; reviews if any parts are over or under priced
  • Follow-up with customer special ordered parts
  • Work with National Parts Team to plan inventory requirements and annual purchasing plans
Service:
  • Oversee Service Manager & Production Supervisor Roles
  • Oversee RV technician productivity
  • Schedule work in and out of shop
  • Ensures that all parts, tools & time are available for technicians to complete the work
  • May assist in warranty liaison with manufacturers and warranty administration
  • Provide estimates and quote repair work
  • Directs service advisors as to which technicians do which jobs
  • Develop, implements, and maintains processes to raise our customer service levels
  • Resolve customer concerns
Paint & Body:
  • Oversee Paint & Body Manager
  • Oversee RV Technician productivity
  • Schedule work in and out of shop
  • Ensures that all parts, tools & time are available for technicians to complete the work
  • May assist in warranty liaison with manufacturers and warranty administration
  • Provide estimates and quote repair work
  • Directs service advisors as to which technicians do which jobs
  • Develop, implements, and maintains processes to raise our customer service levels
  • Resolve customer concerns
Operations:
  • Oversee the development of the annual departments plans for Parts, Service, and Paint & Body
  • Manage dealership advertising content and promotional offers
  • Manage client\xe2\x80\x99s complaints that staff are unable to rectify and take the necessary steps to resolve complaints.
  • Manage staffing issues as required
  • Play an active role in achieving RV units Sales
  • Develop strong understanding of F&I
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
  • Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
Financial:
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual review of financial statements
  • Develop annual budgets
  • Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives
  • Manage departments growth and profitability.
Business Development:
  • Improve productivity through systems and process development for the Parts and Service departments
  • Evaluate, design and implement solutions that will enhance the dealership\xe2\x80\x99s effectiveness and efficiency. This includes analyzing and re-engineering business functions as well as recommending and introducing new systems and applications in order to eliminate redundancies and streamline workflow
  • Manage growth and business direction through an annual planning process engaging the management team.
  • Develop and nurture pricing, trade-in valuation, inventory levels to optimize dealership financial performance.
  • Assist in the performance management of dealerships overall sales expectation n conjunction with the GM.
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Journeyman RV Technician (Red Seal) is an asset
