The Operations Manager is a full-time position that manages the Company\xe2\x80\x99s security operations and provides the necessary planning, guidance, motivation, organization, and control to all the operations staff to ensure they meet the requirements of our customers as well as our standards and objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our organization\'s daily security operations and ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all aspects of our business. Key responsibilities of Operations Manager:

  • Be empowered to lead and have impact with clients, our security personnel and in the office.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of the operations team, including hiring, in consultation with the HR department.
  • Supervises, trains, and develops loss prevention guards for our retail clients.
  • Creates, maintains, and enforces standard operating policies and procedures to optimize operations.
  • Builds relationships and collaborates effectively with key internal and external leaders and stakeholders.
  • Analyzes operational data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and makes recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of operational data to senior management.
  • Collaborates with other departments, such as Finance, HR and Business Development, to develop and implement cross-functional strategies.
  • Sets performance standards and determine development needs based on observing performance in the field.
  • Takes steps to ensure that the company\xe2\x80\x99s liability exposure is minimal in all its operations.
  • Promotes an environment that supports best practices, high standards, and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must possess own vehicle to facilitate regular travel to sites and clients.
  • Must possess G license.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Law Enforcement Program or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 management experience in a security organization required.
  • Experience in a retail environment with multiple big box stores.
  • Valid Ontario Security License and past security experience an asset.
  • Loss prevention training and interviewing experience required.
  • Exceptional computer skills with an emphasis on Scheduling Systems, such as Celayix Team Xpress, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build partnerships and collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent leadership and change management skills with the ability to develop and motivate an effective team required.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills required.
  • Well-developed conflict management and problem-solving abilities required.
  • Ability to analyze problems, interpret operation needs, and develop integrated and creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation and standards related to the field of Security required.
  • Ability to train groups of people with diverse levels of security knowledge required.
  • Demonstrated commitment and ability to provide ongoing excellent customer service required.

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
