Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to supervise the day to day operations of a high performance warehousing company and to lead the workforce to achieve safety, quality, service, and cost goals.

Schedule:

Morning/Day Shift (8:00am start)

Monday to Friday

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure that the dock is adequately staffed and that personnel are properly trained to carry out their work in a safe and competent manner Work with the employees to ensure a safe work environment consistent with relevant legislation and company policies Ensure that the dock is efficiently scheduled to meet customer requirements and that customer issues are resolved in an effective and timely manner Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, budget targets and contribute to the growth of the company in a pro-active manner Oversee all routine and preventative maintenance and schedule any major repairs in accordance with production requirements Manage the overall logistics of the company's shipping and receiving Manage the shift Operations Supervisors Work closely with customer service to provide the best possible service for our customers All other tasks as assigned by Management.

Position Qualifications:

3-5 years of Management Experience

Previous experience within the Warehouse/Transportation/Logistics Industry.

LTL experience an asset.

Proven problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals. Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of issues and problem analysis, decision making and resolution. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to work effectively, efficiently and courteously with other staff.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
