Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure all operational aspects of the laboratory come together to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic reporting.
Lead, supervise, and support multidisciplinary teams to ensure operational optimization
Develop and implement efficient operating procedures across laboratory and patient service locations to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
Monitor and ensure compliance with provincial and federal healthcare regulations (e.g., Ontario Ministry of Health, Health Canada), and accreditation standards (e.g., IQMH, ISO 15189).
Organize, Monitor and achieve KPI targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, turnaround time, and client experience.
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with WHMIS, OHSA, and internal safety protocols.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Health Administration, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in operations management is preferred;
In-depth knowledge of specimen handling, clinical lab workflow, and quality systems.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies.
Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
