Job Description

A fast-growing Canadian healthcare company in the respiratory care sector is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead its Homecare division. In this newly created position, you'll play a key role in managing cross-functional teams and setting the strategic direction for operations across three core areas: Patient and Physician Care (PPC), Inventory and Warehouse Management, and Field Technicians.
You'll report directly to the COO and work alongside the leadership team to drive operational excellence, lead a high-performing team, and ensure superior service delivery to patients and health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow & Coordination Management

• Optimize logistics, inventory, transportation, and customer service functions.
• Coordinate internal teams and external health professionals via Salesforce CRM.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and drive process improvements using data and performance metrics.
• Deliver regular operational updates to the leadership team.

Patient and Physician Care (PPC)

• Oversee the PPC department handling inbound/outbound patient and clinician communication.
• Enhance customer service and ensure exceptional experience across channels.
• Work closely with Respiratory Therapists and Sleep Technicians to align on patient care.
• Monitor PPC performance and provide coaching/training as needed.

Operations & Inventory Management

• Supervise inventory team and ensure accurate stock and order handling.
• Automate and streamline operational workflows in the Homecare division.
• Coordinate fleet drivers to manage timely delivery and retrieval of medical equipment.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and ensure operational compliance with safety, service, and financial goals.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a team of 13, including 3 direct reports.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with leadership on broader strategic planning and execution.

Experience

• 8-12 years in Operations, preferably in:
• Contact centre management
• Logistics & warehouse operations
• 4+ years in a managerial role with team leadership responsibilities
• 4+ years in the healthcare or medical services industry, ideally in home oxygen, CPAP therapy, or home health

Skills

• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication
• Expertise in inventory control, supply chain logistics, and fleet dispatch
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• High customer service orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Technical Proficiency

• Salesforce CRM or equivalent
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar)
• Inventory and fleet management tools
• Slack and performance monitoring tools (a plus)
