Position: Operations Manager
Location: LachineAn industry leading distributor in Lachine is seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to manage and bring the warehouse operations to the next level.They are offering a competitive salary according to experience plus bonus, full benefits on day one and the opportunity to work for an international industry leader in full growth mode.Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will oversee the day-to-day activities within our distribution center, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Your role will involve managing all key processes including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products, all while maintaining a strong focus on cost control, quality, and timeliness.As the Operations Manager, you will drive continuous improvement efforts by analyzing current workflows, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing best practices. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory management and maximize storage efficiency. You will also monitor operational performance using key metrics, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.Your leadership will be crucial in developing and mentoring a diverse team. You'll oversee a group of supervisors and staff, ensuring their growth through training, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Your ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts will be key in maintaining a productive work environment.Safety will be a top priority as you ensure compliance with all regulations and workplace safety standards. You will also maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, logistics partners, and clients, to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.If you're an experienced leader with a passion for optimizing operations and improving efficiency, we want you to help us take our distribution center to the next level.Qualifications:- At least 5-7 years of experience managing warehouse operations within a distribution or PL environment
- Proven track record in improving overall operational efficiencies and streamlining processes
- Experience leading an operations team with demonstrated skills in training, coaching, identifying areas of improvement and supporting the team for success
- Strong communication skills
