Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of commercial cleaning services to ensure high-quality standards, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role includes staff supervision, client relationship management, quality control, and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Management
Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule cleaning staff across multiple sites.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor employee performance and adherence to cleaning standards.
Manage employee performance, including coaching, discipline, and recognition.
2. Client Relationship Management
Serve as the main point of contact for clients; ensure service satisfaction.
Respond promptly to client requests, concerns, and feedback.
Conduct site inspections and audits with clients as needed.
3. Operations & Logistics
Schedule jobs and allocate resources to meet client and company needs.
Ensure adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment across sites.
Monitor compliance with health & safety standards and company policies.
4. Quality Control
Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions where needed.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and improvements.
5. Financial Oversight
Assist with budgeting and controlling labor and supply costs.
Support billing, payroll, and reporting functions in coordination with admin staff.
Requirements:
Proven experience (3-5 years) in operations, preferably in janitorial, facility services, or commercial cleaning.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft suite of products.
Valid G driver's licence.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or respond to emergencies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of WHMIS and workplace safety protocols.
Experience with quality assurance systems and inspection checklists.
