Job Summary



We are seeking a driven and experienced leader with a deep understanding of the intermodal trucking industry. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing drayage operations, strong operational judgment, and a passion for building efficient, reliable logistics systems. This role requires someone who leads by example, communicates with clarity, and takes ownership of performance across dispatch, driver coordination, and terminal operations.

Responsibilities



Operations



Monitor dispatch performance, resolve driver and customer issues promptly, and optimize equipment usage to reduce costs and improve service delivery. Oversee daily dispatch planning by coordinating driver assignments, optimizing routes, and aligning load schedules to maximize equipment utilization and meet customer delivery timelines. Maximize the value of transportation management systems and related tools to enhance automation and tracking. Handle service disruptions with clear, proactive communication and provide flexible solutions that maintain customer satisfaction. Ensure full compliance with transportation regulations by working closely with the safety team to maintain alignment and uphold best practices across all operations.

Drivers



Lead onboarding and training for new drivers, ensuring clear expectations around routing, communication, and safety protocols. Oversee both company drivers and owner-operators, managing performance, workload distribution, and day-to-day coordination. Address performance issues and conflicts professionally, ensuring fair resolution and minimal operational impact.

Leadership



Establish clear performance targets, deliver consistent coaching, and reinforce accountability through regular performance reviews and constructive feedback. Lead with integrity and approachability, proactively addressing challenges, fostering trust, and maintaining a positive, motivated team environment. Foster a results-oriented culture by making OKRs visible, actionable, and tied directly to team performance and service delivery outcomes.

Qualifications



Minimum 5 years of previous experience in the logistics industry. Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial or leadership position. Experience in 3 years dispatch operations. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support team performance in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines through effective planning and organization. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand client requirements and deliver high-quality, responsive service. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
