Operations Manager
to join our team and help elevate our project delivery and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The
Operations Manager
will oversee daily business operations, manage cross-functional teams (field technicians, project managers, subcontractors), and ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and in line with our high standards. This role is critical in bridging technical execution with strategic planning to drive company growth and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations across multiple projects and departments (controls, electrical, mechanical).
Work closely with project managers to schedule resources, manage timelines, and track project KPIs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality control requirements.
Optimize workflows, resource allocation, and inventory management to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Implement and improve systems for job costing, documentation, reporting, and process standardization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within building automation, electrical, or mechanical contracting.
Strong understanding of construction project workflows and scheduling.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with HVAC systems, building automation controls (Niagara N4, Honeywell), or related technologies is a strong asset.
Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
PMP or relevant certification is a plus.
