Miik believes the best ideas come from a diverse group of people. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team at our warehouse in Etobicoke. Job Duties and Responsibilities



Active involvement with the day-to-day operations, monitoring progress towards goals.

Delegating tasks and communicating with warehouse associates on changing priorities in the warehouse including receiving, put away, transfers, picking & packing, and shipping.

Ensuring Miik complies with federal and provincial warehousing and material handling by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.

Achieve inventory accuracy and maximize operational efficiency through utilization of our distribution space.

Complete cycle and full inventory counts, research and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPI's).

Establish and maintain inventory reports, including forecasting, ABC analysis, returns reports, supply + demand, etc., including those upon request from our CEO.

Establish routine reporting with our CEO and production department to help better understand stock levels, and supply and demand.

Work with the production department to ensure smooth processes between operations and production, including schedules for receiving, stock level maintenance, barcode creation, etc.

Maintain physical condition of building; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Contact property management if required.

Help achieve financial objectives; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Work with the studio and customer care to bridge the needs between customer traffic and studio stock with the warehouse.

Determine product handling and storage needs; establish, enforce, and assess policies and procedures.

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.

Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Perform and deliver annual job reviews (where applicable).

Analyze process workflows, staffing, space needs, and equipment layout to enhance operations.

Maintain sufficient supplies of all warehouse and studio essentials.

Research products and pricing along financial guidelines.

Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, performance to KPI's, etc.).

Ensure open and effective two-way communication at all levels.

Lead meetings to communicate progress and priorities on daily operations.

Continually work to improve warehouse procedures and protocol across all areas.

Review, maintain and seek adjustments on carrier contracts and submit carrier claims as needed.

Invoicing - review and approve payments. Upload all to Hubdoc from all sources including invoicing, credits, expense reports, etc.

Returns - ensure they are processed promptly and appropriate action taken; repair, re-tag, donate, and sort into "2nds" system as applicable

Support Customer Care associate in resolving customer complaints related to shipping issues related to carriers, delivery, contents damaged, etc.

Job Requirements and Qualifications



Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership position in a warehouse environment

In-depth knowledge of warehouse procedures

Experience with Shopify; as well as with ShipStation and Stocky an asset

Proficiency in inventory and warehouse management software, databases and systems

Be able to lift 50+ pounds; be able to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

A "get the job done" mentality and positive attitude

Ability to work autonomously is a key skill

Ability to take initiative, strong work ethic, and behave with a sense of urgency

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Previous supervisor experience a must-have

Strong analytical skills

Must be technologically savvy

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to adapt quickly to new situations, as well as new and changing processes, programs and services

Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment

Experience working with clothing preferred, but not required

First Aid/CPR certification a plus

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
