Operations Manager
to join our team and drive the success of our ongoing and future projects.
Job Summary:
As the
Operations Manager
, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring that projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other teams to ensure all aspects of the projects are effectively coordinated. You will act as the key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, and vendors. Your goal will be to maintain seamless communication and resolve any operational challenges that arise, driving the success of the company's projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Improvement & Planning:
Improve operational systems, processes, and policies to support the company's mission and objectives.
Enhance business processes, information flow, and organizational planning for greater efficiency.
Contribute to long-term strategic planning, focusing on operational excellence and growth.
Project & Resource Management:
Oversee daily operations of ongoing construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination.
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs and performance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to assess and fulfill personnel, equipment, and supply needs.
Stakeholder & Vendor Communication:
Serve as the key point of contact for external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and suppliers.
Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and any issues, ensuring clear communication channels.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
Project Monitoring & Issue Resolution:
Monitor project advancement and proactively address any bottlenecks or issues that could impact delivery timelines.
Work with project managers and design teams to identify and address potential risks and challenges.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture within the operations team.
Support the growth and development of team members, encouraging problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Budget & Cost Control:
Ensure projects stay within budget by monitoring costs related to rentals, equipment purchases, and supplies.
Take corrective action as needed to maintain financial control and maximize operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record in the construction industry.
Familiarity with residential and multi-family construction projects preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, drafting, blueprint reading, and construction management software (such as Buildertrend or Contractor Foreman).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of collaboration.
Strong understanding of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
