ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management of a best-in-class site, leading a team of Building Operators, and ensuring the successful execution of capital and tenant improvement projects. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of base building services, developing budgets, resolving operational issues, and implementing effective property programs. With your extensive experience in physical operations management and supervisory skills, you will drive the achievement of department goals and maintain a high level of customer service.   • Provide oversight and management of base building services, collaborating with consultants and contractors to meet project delivery dates.
  • Lead and motivate team members, fostering professional development and succession planning.
  • Develop annual operating budgets and conduct thorough studies to ensure cost-effective repairs and upgrades.
  • Resolve operational concerns raised by tenants, working closely with the Operations Supervisor to ensure timely resolution and exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure the implementation of property programs related to HVAC, preventative maintenance, environmental management, energy management, and waste management, while effectively organizing and staffing property operations.
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in physical operations management, with at least 7 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures, budgeting principles, and HVAC/electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in Building Automation Systems (e.g., Johnson Controls) and Preventative Maintenance software.
  • Familiarity with environmental hazards and experience with green initiatives (LEEDS) is beneficial.
  • SMA (BOMA) or Building Environmental Systems I certification is an asset.
  • CFM (Certified Facilities Manager) certification is preferred.
COMPENSATION
  • Salary: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
  • Benefits: Dental care, Extended health care, On-site parking, Paid time off, RRSP match, Tuition reimbursement, Vision care
  • Flexible Language Requirement: French not required
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay
  • Work Location: In person
