Job Description

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive person with experience in the digital agency space, to join our team at Evolving Web. You'll work directly with the leadership team to ensure that internal operations are running smoothly.

We're a growing company and take on many types of projects, so there will be a wide variety of tasks for you to work on. We're looking for someone who is proactive, can seek out tasks, and will take ownership of a given task and make sure it gets completed.

In your role as Operations Director, you will be expected to:

  • Oversee and manage the operations team
  • Monitor and improve daily company operations
  • Manage centralized repository of processes and improve and streamline processes based on business goals
  • Measure the efficiency of systems and procedures and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Participate actively in the HR, finance, and business operations
  • Proactively work with project managers and the project management office to improve project reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Participate in cross-functional management, facilitate conversations, develop and maintain relationship with the whole team, build consensus and influence decision making with project managers and leadership
  • Develop and use frameworks to help structure the team's thinking, drive visibility, and facilitate alignment
  • Gather and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, synthesize findings, develop go-forward plans and help drive and translate recommendations into results
  • Maintain harmony and ensure shared responsibility of business objectives with focus on team development and employee career growth
  • Partner with finance and the leadership team to manage, analyze and review organizational budgets, measure & track ROI, and reconcile and explain discrepancies
  • Review contracts with clients, as well as vendor and supplier relationships
  • Develop strategic change, drive change management and business transformation efforts
  • Participate and actively research cost saving and government subsidies, grants and credits
Requirements:

What kind of skillset do you need to be successful in your role within the Evolving community?
  • Good knowledge of operations management
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies and processes quickly
  • Experience with forecasting models and reporting
  • Knowledge of HR, finance and project management process
  • Good communication skills and advanced spreadsheet skills
  • You speak English and French
  • 5+ years of operations experience
